The search for a cure for cystic fibrosis is made possible thanks to the loyalty and dedication of more than 100,000 volunteers and individual donors. From coast to coast, the K-W Chapter's Partners and friends work hard to raise the funds needed to support the research that is leading the world in the search for a cure or control for this terrible disease.

Kinsmen & Kinette Clubs of Canada is the country's largest all-Canadian service organization. Founded in 1920, its members are active community volunteers. Approximately 700 Kinsmen, Kinette and Kin Clubs across Canada support CF research and fund other local projects. The clubs also offer their members opportunities to grow, learn, make friends and have fun.

Major Milestone Achieved!

In 2002 the Kinsmen reached their milestone of $30 million dollars raised for CF!!!!!

ADVOCIS

Advocis has been an important partner of the CCFF since 1985. During this time, Advocis members have raised over $3.2 million to further fund research to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF). These vital research dollars have helped lead to progress in treatment and have assisted in lengthening the lifespan of individuals affected with CF.

Advocis members raise funds through a variety of events and in addition, many members support the CCFF through a monthly giving program called Advocis Friends for Life.

The management and employees of Zellers have made a real difference in the lives of the thousands of Canadians who live with cystic fibrosis. Zellers' relationship with the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation began in 1985, when Dr. Claude Roy, Chairman of the Foundation's Medical/Scientific Advisory Committee, asked if small collection bubbles could be placed at the checkout counters in Zellers' stores. The bubbles raised $80,000. But the next year, when the President of Zellers was asked if the Foundation could place collection bubbles in Zellers' stores for a second year, he responded, "it's not enough"... and Zellers' annual walkathon for CF was born.

CARSTAR is Canada’s largest network of quality collision repair franchises. For the second year in a row, CARSTAR has agreed to be the title sponsor for the FrightLitesTM campaign.
CARSTAR has chosen to support cystic fibrosis for two very special reasons. First, CARSTAR has friends and family affected by the disease and has seen the impact CF can have on the life of a child. Second, CARSTAR wants to be part of the team that helps find the cure for cystic fibrosis.
Corporations interested in sponsoring FrightLitesTM, please your local K-W Cystic Fibrosis Chapter.
